| Age/Grade Level | Activities | Thank You |
|---|---|---|
| 2-5 years old | Young children and their parents are invited to join Cole Academy teachers for hands-on learning activities including: matching coins and dollars, sequencing coins, coins in a piggy bank, an equivalence game, and a game called How Much Money?. | |
| K - 3rd grade | Holy Nativity School’s team will help young children (Kindergarten to 3rd grade) to identify coins and to make change by running a lemonade stand with real lemonade! Children will have the option of being the customer and/or the salesperson and they will learn about coin values and basic adding and subtracting-all while having fun with a cool cash register! |
|
| 4th - 6th grade | Visit with the Hawaii Society of CPAs (HSCPA) as we bring math skills to life and help children learn how to make smart money decisions. We welcome 4th to 6th graders to take the first steps to be on the right financial track by earning and saving for specific goals. Children will get to play “Pass The Pigs” to earn points (math skills utilized) – be careful . . . avoid getting a ‘pig out’ or ‘back to zero’, or play “Moneywise Kid$” to earn money to buy items (markers). Parents: Get your children involved as we help to instill the importance of smart money habits. |
